More Powerful than a Super Computer - Is Memory in the Brain?
The brain appears to be where thinking happens. So it's understandable to believe that memory is stored there.
The Body Stores Stress
This is the third of a blog series exploring the many ways in which experiences, traumas, stresses and emotions are recorded in the body and energy field.

Also in this Post
- I mention about the Memory & Clear Thinking series of Biofield Tuning Group Sessions.
- I share another podcast interview.
- If you do not yet have the Biofield Tuning Mini Audio for Stress Release, read about it below.
Is Memory in the Brain? Research
I found a fascinating article, dated Jan 13, 2022. Memories May Be Stored in the Connections Between Brain Cells.
It talks about devices like hard drives, where the material physically changes to 'save' information.
According to the authors, our memories are physically stored in the connections between brain cells, neurons.
Researchers studying fish showed that connections between neurons, i.e. synapses are rearranged when information is saved.
This computer-generated image looks at how neurons could make new synapses.
The brain is miraculous.
However, I find it hard to believe that everything retained in memory can be physically retained solely in this network of continually-changing synaptic connections.
My personal theory is that information is stored 1) in the physical body, not just the brain, and also 2) in the energy field. In my next two blog posts, I talk about this.
Control Center & Steering in the Brain
I think the brain's network coordinates and controls everything the mind and body do. It steers the ship and has 19-23 billion neurons and ~1.5x10^14 synapses. (That's a 'crazy big number.' Here's the source article.)
The brain coordinates and steers Learning and Growth.
It coordinates and steers Movement.
And it coordinates and steers Language.
This synaptic network coordinates Memory formation, access, and usage.
All of this is just me playing with science ideas. Because I have zero authority here. LOL

Stress Release for Health & Healing
Every day you can work with this complex network of neurons to support your brain health.
Exercising your brain can help you manage stress.
Always be Learning
As I said, the brain coordinates and steers learning and growth, movement, language, and memory.
So doing those things supports ongoing brain health.

Podcast Interview
Thrive & Aligned Healing Podcast
This is the second of my delightful interviews with Kimberly Jarman, Life Coach, and Dr. Carmen Jones, Naturopathic Doctor.
This team is impressive, and I am excited to work with them.
I Love their podcast and binge listened. It's like listening to myself, our approaches are so in alignment.
I already know a lot about health. Yet, I still learn a lot from this practicing holistic doctor and life coach. They give sensible, practical recommendations.
I listen to a lot of health-oriented podcasts. But rarely do I make specific listening recommendations. To learn about health and living fully, listen to Kimberly and Carmen! Just saying.
They have a unique model of collaborating for the benefit of their clients. And their combined medical and coaching program is exceptional and effective.

This week's podcast interview talks about Biofield Tuning.
Last week's blog features the episode about Human Design.
See both on the Press page.
